My Grandfather in the News

CBS did an interview with my grandfather, honoring his 100th year and the 100th year of his company ABM.

They talk about all of my grandfather's contributions to the city of San Francisco, and a little bit about his life as a whole.

It's a wonderful interview. I can't figure out how to embed the video, but here's the link if y'all are interested.

CBS doesn't let you, the bastards. Good vid, though. He's remarkably spry for a man his age and looks like he still has most of his marbles. I hope to be so fortunate.

He's completely blind, mostly deaf, in a wheelchair, missing a kidney...yet still upbeat, still keeping on. Sharp as a tack, as well...his memory's a hell of a lot better than mine these days. ;)

I like 100 yr old folks, esp. when they're still engaged. Thanks for posting this (what's wyrd to me is that I just posted a vid on FB about someone I knew who reached 100, then popped over hear only to see your grandfather's story!).
